Joe Burris has worked as a professional writer for more than 30 years, mainly in the newspaper business. Joe served as a sportswriter for the Nashville Tennessean and Boston Globe and was a features and education reporter for the Baltimore Sun. Joe also wrote freelance articles for such publications as the Sporting News and National Geographic's The 10 Best of Everything: An Ultimate Guide for Travelers. During that time, Joe gave guest lectures on journalism at colleges in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area.
